Podcasts and RSS Feeds
What is a podcast?

"Podcast" is a contraction of iPod and broadcasting, and it lets anyone with a PC create a radio show that can be downloaded to an iPod or PC for hearing at their leisure. In combination with RSS technology, expect this to really take off!

What is RSS, you ask? Well, RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" and it is the a great tool for dissemination of material on the Internet. You may have already noticed, but you’ll see more and more of these little orange buttons on Web sites that are labeled with "RSS" or "XML". If you drag that symbol to your iTunes or iPodder program, or your "news aggregator", you’re automatically subscribed to that podcast or news channel. It will not only download the podcast to your PC, but you’ll also get new episodes whenever they become available. And of course, you can always unsubscribe at any time.
